Bring back the days of Oliver Twist
Has the Ghost of Christmas Past visited us? It seems that the 2012 Presidential campaign brings spirits and goblins thought long past, no humbug. I dreamed of a debate on the issues by two articulate Black men but Mr. Cain’s front-runner status has succumbed to ad homonym attacks on his character reminiscent of the Clarence Thomas Lynching even more high tech. The leading candidate as I write is Newt Gingrich a spirit resurrected from his political grave. Mr. Gingrich feels that people in poor neighborhoods (many of whom are African American and Latino) are lazy and don't know how to work. I live in a poor neighborhood and most of my neighbors work. The jobs that they have are not well paying and their children need not be robbed of educational opportunities and subjected to mindless labor to teach them to be “good Negroes”. Mr. Gingrich wants to bring back the days of Oliver Twist, and celebrate his own Victorian “Christmas Carol”.
Likewise The Episcopal Diocese of Newark continues its attack on the existence of Saint Barnabas’ Church. Bishop Mark Beckwith has trusted the “Ordinary” to Canon Gregory Jacobs, who has been playing “Devil’s Advocate” a role well learned in the legal profession.
The Canon with the authority of the Bishop has called an illegitimate annual meeting for December 18th 2011 at which no financial reports are to be given to the congregants. According to the by laws the financial reports should be presented by the treasurer at the annual meetings.
Jeremiah 23:1 "Woe to the shepherds who are destroying and scattering the sheep of My pasture!" declares the LORD. King James Bible
